Hey everybody!!!!

Its been a good week here in DC. The cherry blossoms are in bloom and
the city is really pretty. Its been crazy - whenever we are walking on
the street we keep running into our investigators, it's good because we
haven't had contact with some of them in a few weeks.

J. is doing really well. He loves meeting with us and loves the
lessons. He wants to start meeting twice a week. He was supposed to
come to church on Sunday, but his work schedule changed. Hopefully he
can come next week.

C. is doing really well, we have been meeting with her pretty
consistently. She is sweet and likes our lessons. She is just a little
busy trying to find a job to support her and her son. She doesn't have
too much of a religious background but really likes learning.
getting Chinese food

We were pretty successful this week when we went tracting,
and found some people that seemed pretty interested. Last week when we
went tracting in an apartment building someone called management on us
haha, but this week went a lot better.
D.C.has some cool art

This tranfer has been good, my companion and I have been working hard
on our Spanish and it has been helping a lot. The hardest thing is
trying to understand all of the different accents people speak here
from all the different countries, but it's fun.

Sunday I got sick and I have been inside since then, but hopefully we
will be able to go out and meet with people soon.

Thanks for everything!

Hey everybody!!

This week has been good. The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom
around our area here in DC and it has been really pretty. The city is
really cool in the summer, more people are out and there are a lot of
street vendors and performers.

I. is doing well, we didn't get to teach her this week, but we helped
her get some things sorted out because she needed to get an
appointment with the Honduran embassy but didn't know how and some
ward members were able to help her out.
Why I Believe with Ward Members

We found a cool new investigator this week. He has two young kids and
they are from El Salvador. He saw us talking to his neighbor and said
he wanted us to come by his house next. We taught him the restoration
and he liked it and invited us to come back next week. He said he has been
searching for a religion for him and his family. It was really cool.
Cupcakes!

Sister Urbina from Honduras

Visiting at the hospital

One sister in the ward wanted us to go visit her less active mom, we
went to visit her and she told us she has never read the Book of
Mormon, or any parts of it, unless people read it to her so we are
hoping to help get her reading. She really liked our appointment.

We had a really fun meal with some investigators of the other sisters.
We had an El Salvador style bbq and then chocolate covered bananas
after. It was really good and super fun!

It has finally been warm enough to start running outside, it's fun, we
get to run every morning when the sun is coming up!

Transfers are next week, but my companion and I are staying here for 6
more weeks!!

Hey everybody!!!!!! This week has been great. The biggest surprise:  I
have been transferred to California! Haha not really it has just been
in the 70's all week! I love it! Its been the first time I haven't had
to use my winter coat in a while.

Our investigators are doing well. We met with I. again. We taught the
plan of salvation and she really liked it. She seems really
interested in our message and she believes that the Book of Mormon is
the word of God. She is so sweet and we are so excited to keep working
with her.
referral address brought us here

C. is doing well. She likes our lessons and we taught the plan of
salvation, but she can be kind of hard to get a hold of.

pass-along cards

K. is doing really well. He took us out to get fancy sandwiches, and
he is getting back to being active in the church. He wants to get his
patriarchal blessing now. We are so excited for him.

A. is an 18 yr old less active young woman from El Salvador. She came
to the church for the first time in like 2 or 3 yrs for a
relief society birthday dinner. She really liked it and we had a good
time.

C. from Landover hills got baptized, it was so great. He was there
with his brother and they are so excited, they love the Book of Mormon
and the church. It was an amazing experience.

Things have been great here!! The best food we got here this week was
some Columbian empanadas!

For P-Day we went for a run by the Potomac river.

Thanks for everything!

Hasta luego!

Hi Everybody!!!!!!

This week has been great!!! We have made some awesome progress with some
of our investigators and have had some great
experiences!!! I love being in the city, it's an amazing place.

J. Is doing really well, we taught her the restoration this week, and
she seemed to like it!!! She was really excited to come to church and
we were going to stop by and pick her up but she got the flu. We will
have to go next week. She is 22 and she loves cats and has rescued a
ton of them so the whole time we are teaching cats are always crawling
all over us. Haha last lesson the cats kept lying on top of our plan
of salvation cutouts. But the lessons have been good.

I. is doing well, she has only been in the U.S for about a month.
She has been really liking the lessons and said she believed the story
of the restoration. This week she called us up crying, and said her
daughter was bleeding from her ears. We were able to call a member and
get a ride to the hospital. We went to the hospital as well and were
able to translate for some of the nurses, luckily the doctors had
translators! We were there for over 4 hrs but we were able to help her
and her daughter calm down and feel better. We talked to them
yesterday and they are doing a lot better.
Our Patient was playing with my Ipad and took this photo

C., the mom of our recent convert, came to church and she loved it. She
loves the gospel the only problem is she isn't married, and they seem
unsure about if they are going to get married. She loves the lessons
and she even asked if she could come out and teach other investigators
the lessons with us. She is really sweet we love meeting with her.
Temple Visitor's Center with Less Active Members

We had some good Bolivian food this week. A member took is out to a
restaurant and we had Silpancho. Its this giant stack of french fries,
then steak, than eggs, and tomatoes and it was really good. Its fun
trying food from all of the different countries!!!
Bolivian Restaurant

V. from my old area got baptized!! I wasn't able to make it to the
baptism but we are really excited for him!! He was on date before I
left and he was able to keep all of his commitments and keep the same
baptism date.  His brothers date has been pushed back a little bit
though.

Things have been great.

I am loving my mission and loving DC!!! Thanks
for everything!!!!!!!

Nos Vemos!!!!
