Hey Everybody!!!!!!

This week was great we taught a lot of good lessons and found three
new investigators!!! I am loving my time here in the city. It is so
fun to spend everyday in DC. Our ward is great and the members are so
nice. We have gotten a lot of good food. We also found an amazing
donut shop in our area.

Our investigators are doing well. C. Was progressing but
she moved to California to live with her daughter. J. Is doing well we
have still had some good contact with her but she is having a hard
time coming to church but we are still meeting with her and are
excited to watch her progress. We met S. She has an eight year old
son and she used to meet with missionaries about a year ago, but they
stopped coming because she had to work Sundays and couldn't go to
church. Now her worked changed and she can come to church, we are
excited to keep working with her.

We had one crazy experience with a member who came
out with us. We knocked a few doors of investigators who didn't
answer, and when we left she left a business card in their door, and
wrote down their apartment number and address. It was weird. Than we
knocked a door and got in for a first lesson, we were sitting down and
started to explain who we were and what our purpose was when our
member ran into her kitchen and grabbed a glass out of her cupboard
and started drinking her water. She told her that her water tasted bad
and that she can sell her a water filter.  Then she started getting out this
binder and pulling out all this stuff and made out investigator call
the company, and we spent the next 40 minutes watching her sell a
water filter. It was so funny and crazy.

Things have been awesome here, I am really enjoying my time in the
mission. This week we had so many opportunities to teach the
restoration and it was such a great experience. I love teaching and it
is so exciting when someone accepts the message. It has been great to
see the change the gospel has made in the life of the recent convert.
He seems a lot happier now and is progressing a lot.

Gracias por todo
Hasta luego

Hey everyone!!! This week has been great! I am loving my area here in
Mount Pleasant. We have been able to
find a few new investigators this week. We are loving the city and it
has even been warmer this week!

J is doing well, we were not able to visit her this week, but we gave
her a talk to read and she really liked it. She is really enjoying
learning and is pretty interested in our message.

D just moved here a month or two from Mexico and he is interested in
our message. He has been reading the Book of Mormon, and wants to keep
learning.

A. the recent convert is doing great. He has been coming to church and
taking the new member lessons. This Sunday he said the opening prayer
at an event at the visitors center. We are really happy about the
progress that he has been making.

We had some good appointments this week, and then we have also spent
some time tracting and looking for new investigators. We have a lot of
apartment buildings with Spanish speakers in them so we have been able
to find some people that seem interested.

Today for pday we went to the National Cathedral and then we went to
Good Stuff Eatery with the sister missionaries in the mission.

We are serving in the Mount Pleasant branch and it is great, the
members have been awesome. We are trying to get to know the members
better in our area and have been able to do some work with less
actives. I am really liking the branch

Hey Everybody!

This week has been super great, I am loving the city.  We have had a lot of cool experiences this week.
Young Womens' night at the Visitor Center

We have a new investigator, "J".  She is about 22 years old.  She rescues cats and walks dogs.  She is super cute and we are excited to work with her.  She seems pretty interested in our message and said she wants to come to church.  She used to meet with the elders when she was younger, but hasn't seen the missionaries for a while.  We taught her the plan of salvation and she really liked it.  We were able to answer a lot of questions she had and she is liking what we are teaching.  We are meeting with her again this week.

We have been working with "A", the recent convert.  He is doing well and he passed the sacrament for the first time on Sunday.  We were able to go to the visitor center with him this week and it was a really cool experience.

Judy was baptized this week!  It was amazing and I was able to go back to Landover Hills for the baptism.  It was a really good experience and we are so happy for her.

We have been doing a lot of tracting, but we have been able to find some new investigators and have some good experiences!  We have found some  areas with a lot of people who speak Spanish.

The city is great, whenever we are tracting or going to appointments we always run into really cool things like embassies or chapels.  Last PDay we went out to eat then to a giant basilica.  It was really cool.

Thanks for all the support!!!!!

Hope things are going well. I have been transferred to
the Mount Pleasant Spanish speaking area. I am opening up a new area in
Washington DC! It has been great so far, I really like the city and
things have been going well. As it is a new area we are spending most
of our time tracting and finding new people to teach. We have found
some good potentials, and we also found a Krispy Kremes😃.
My New Area!
Includes Georgetown, National Zoo, Dupont Circle,
The National Cathedral, the Whitehouse and the
National Mall
We are opening the first ever full proselyting Spanish speaking Sister area in Washington DC!

My new companion is great and she is a hard worker! I am excited to keep
working with her. She has been in the mission 1 transfer longer than
me and she is also from Utah.
Hermana Mecham!

Our area is awesome. We have a lot of cool places in DC and we love
it. We have a car but we will usually just drive to the edge of DC and
then bus, metro and walk from there. We live in Wheaton Maryland
about 20 minutes outside of our area. We have been spending most of
our time checking up on potentials and tracting. We have tried to find
some members but the records are old and outdated.

We have been doing some work with a recent convert Anthony and his
mom Cecilia is our investigator. We are excited to keep working with
them.

We have found about 5 new investigators this week and we think some
have some good potential! My companion is very crafty and has made
some cute object lessons and it is fun to teach with her.
Looking for a member to contact, their address
turned out to be the Colombian Embassy.

The branch in Mount Pleasant is awesome!! The members are so sweet. On
Sunday we get bags of food and members give us Belgium chocolate
every week. I had to bear my testimony because it was my first week
but it went well. It's always a bit scary talking in front of everyone
in Spanish.
These Lending Libraries are all over here

Hey everyone!!! Hope everything has been going well!! Things have been good
here in Land Over Hills Maryland!!!

To start off today we went to J's marriage at the courthouse! We are
so excited for her and now she is all ready for her baptism which will
take place on February 13. She is doing really well and we are excited
for her.
Wedding Day!

V. Is doing really well. We have been meeting with him pretty
consistently and he has been coming to church as well. He really likes
what he is learning and says he has received answers to his prayers
about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. He is progressing well and
will be baptized on March 6.

This week we also had a cool service opportunity. We came across a man
who had crashed really bad and had broken his bicycle, and we
were able to help him carry his bike back home along with his groceries and
help him out a little bit. After he told us he used to meet with
missionaries and would be interested in meeting with them again.

We were able to leave our apartment again on Tuesday because of all
the snow. It was good, but we still couldn't make it to some of our
appointments earlier in the week because some of the roads were not
plowed.

I found our this week that i am getting transferred next Wednesday!!!
I'm not sure where I am going or who will be my companion but I'm
excited to find out. I'm sad to leave this area because it has been
really good but I'm also excited to see where I will be going!
