Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a great Christmas!

This year's Christmas was pretty fun! On Sunday our ward had a cute
sacrament meeting and we had a lot of musical numbers and good talks.
When the meeting got out one of our members dressed up like santa
clause and gave candy to all the kids.( and missionaries).

The best part was talking on skype with my awesome family!

We also had a really good dinner with a sweet family in the ward and
then we sang carols around their piano.

L. is doing really well. She told her pastor in another church that
she is going to keep reading the Book of Mormon and keep meeting with
us even though he doesn't want her to.

C. is reading the Book of Mormon and really liking it. We are so
excited for her and to see her progress.

This week at the visitors center I got to see the family from
Guatamala, back from my time in Mount Pleasant, it was so good to see
them!

Thanks for everything, have a good new years!

Feliz navidad

FELIZ NAVIDAD

Hola. Hope everyone has had a good week. Things are really great here,
this last week we had some shifts in the visitors center. We met a lot
of really cool people, and we also met some families that wanted us to
send missionaries to their house.

Our investigator L. came to the branch on Sunday. He really enjoyed it
and we are hoping that he will come back.

We also had the branch Christmas party and all of the members brought
food from their home countries. It was really good and we had a lot of
our investigators come as well.

On Saturday the roads were too icy to drive so we spent a lot of time
tracting near our apartment.  We found some really cool new families
that said we could come back and teach them more.

We found a new investigator C. this week. She used to meet with
missionaries in El Salvador and she was really excited that we found
her. We had two good lessons with her this week and she said we could
come back next week,

Thanks for everything have a great Christmas!!

Hey Everyone!

We had a great week!

First off our investigator A. is doing pretty well. She has been
reading the Book of Mormon for a couple weeks now and she really likes
it, but she has a few concerns about switching religions but we are
still going to work with her.

We found L. a new investigator this week and she is great. We taught
her twice in one week and she really likes learning and really liked
the story of the restoration. She told us she wants to come to church
with us and we are excited to see her progress.

We met with a part-member family as well. The mom is less active and
her son is not a member. We taught them and the son liked everything
and learned really quickly. The hard part is we can't get the mom to
come to church, so it has been slow with them.

This week I also translated sacrament meeting into English for the
people in our ward who don't speak Spanish.

Festival of lights has been pretty good, it has started to get really
busy but we have had some fun families come in and I have gotten to
see lots of people from my old areas.

Thanks for everything! And be sure to check out mormon.org for the new
Christmas video!

Thanks for everything and have a great week!

Hi everyone!!! We've had a great week!

On Tuesday we had Ambassador Night at the temple vistor center, and
we spent the night getting things set up and helping during the
event. Elder Stevenson came and turned on the lights.

This week we also worked two shifts in the visitor center where we
helped with the festival of lights. It was really cool and we got to
meet a lot of people.

A. is doing really well, she is really excited for her new calling and
we are getting through a lot of the new member lessons.

We found a cute new family to teach from Columbia this week and we
have our first appointment with them this next week.

This week we went to a members house and we had a soup with a few
whole fish in it, and it was really spicy. It was definitely an
adventure.

Thanks so much for everything!

Hey everyone! Sorry I didn't send out an update last week,

Last Pday all of the missionaries going home in the next 6 months got
to go to Arlington as a group. It was really cool, we got to see
the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier and we
had a little devotional with the mission president. It was a really
nice experience.

A.- our recent convert is doing really well. We have been going through
the recent convert lessons with her and the visiting teachers. And this Sunday
she was called to be a relief society teacher. We are so excited for
her.

L. is progressing really well right now, we found him tracting just a
few weeks ago, and it turns out his brother in law is an active member in
the branch. We have been teaching him the lessons with his brother in
law and he wants to come to church next week.

We got a referral and when we stopped by his house we found out that
he was looking for members from some other church we had never heard
of before. We tried to teach him but when he found out we were not
from his church he told us to never meet with him again and he went
inside.

We had the primary program and it was the first one our branch had
ever had. A.'s two boys were in it and it was really cute. The branch
is growing a lot and it has been fun to serve here.

Thanksgiving was great. We had a great lunch with a senior missionary
couple serving in Annapolis, and a dinner with some great families in
the ward!

Hey everyone!!

Hope everyone is having a good week.

This week was really fun for us! We found a lot of cool people and
some of them seem really interested. We found one guy while we were
tracting, and he told us to come back on Sunday night. When we came
back on Sunday, one of our members was there and we found out
that the new investigator was the brother in law of the member. We had
a really good lesson with them and the brother in law wants to keep
meeting with us. It was a great teaching experience.

A. is doing really well. She is loving church and is holding nightly
family prayer with her family, teaching her husband about the church,
and it is going awesome. She went with some ward members to the Navy
football game this last week and is having lots of fun.

We have been focusing on doing a lot of finding people, so we have been doing
a lot of contacting and we got some return appointments for
this week as well.

This week we also helped a less active family set up their Christmas tree!

Thanks for everything! Have a great week!!

Hey everyone!! I hope you all had a great Halloween! We had a pretty
good one here, and the two days after were the celebrations for the
Day of the Dead. A lot of people had their tables set up for Day of
the Dead and we got more bread people!
Day of the Dead

A. is doing really well, she loves church and the gospel. She just got
home teachers and they were able to go help giver her a blessing
after she hurt her back this week.
Old Roomie

M. is progressing really well right now. She was never progressing much
before but we retaught her the restoration and she loved it. She has
been reading a lot of the Book of Mormon and really likes and
understands it. She came to church for the first time this last Sunday
and it went well, we hope she can come again soon.

We have been spending some time looking for new investigators. This
week we talked to a man in the parking lot and he was running really
late for work but pointed to his house and told us he really wanted us
to stop by because he used to meet with Mormons and wants to meet with
us. We met with him yesterday and he and his family were awesome and
we are going back later this week.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN🎃

Hola Familia y Amigos!

This week was pretty great! The highlight was A. got
confirmed on Sunday, she is now an official member and she is so happy
and excited. She came with her husband and two kids to the ward
Halloween party and trunk or treat and they had a great time. Her
husband is changing jobs this week so we hope that he can get Sundays
off and come with his wife to church!

O. and P. are doing well. They really like learning. O. said that he
has investigated a lot of churches, but none of them have felt right.
He really likes what he is learning and we are so excited to keep
working with them and helping them progress.

A lot of our members and investigators don't celebrate Halloween, but
they are getting ready for the Day of the Dead, and one member gave us a
big bag of bread people that she baked.

Things are good here, we have been able to keep finding more people to
teach and we are hoping that we can find some more people who are
interested.

Thanks for all of the support!!
Feliz dia de los muertos!

Hola everyone!!!

We had a great week! Our car is fixed and the heater in our
house is working now!
We had transfers this week and I am still in Annapolis with Sister
Bateman. It is great here and we are meeting lots of fun new people!

We crashed a fiesta and got tacos

A. was baptized this week. It went really well and a lot of the branch
came, it was really awesome! Aleida bore an awesome testimony after
and she told us that before her baptism she was praying to make sure
that she was doing the right thing. Then the next day she was cleaning
her house and as she was cleaning the Bible fell off the counter and
landed down by her feet opened, and it was opened to the page in the
New Testament about the baptism of Christ. She said in her talk how
she knows this is the true church and throughout her life she has
always tried to draw closer to God but she didn't know how before. It
was really awesome!

"A's" boys

This week we have been working with a family of 5 and they are so
awesome. They are reading the Book of Mormon and love learning
together! We hope we can help them continue to grow and progress! We
just need them to come to church buts its hard with all their
different work schedules.

G. is doing good. He came to church on Sunday and had fun with the
other young men, we are hoping to keep him active in Young Mens and
mutual!

Thanks so much for everything!!!
