Halfway through the MTC! it is so crazy because I dont feel like I have been here that long but I am so excited to get to washington DC. This week was really good!

We started this thing called TRC where we have members from Mexico City come to the MTC and we get to teach them a lesson! It was my favorite part of the week, I was a little nervous at first because before that our only investigators were our teachers playing a part. It was so nice I got to teach a really sweet grandma who told us all about her family and how the gospel has helped her family so much! It was really awesome.

After that we got to teach a sister missionary rm who had just got back from Peru, she was so sweet! I had a really good experience with it and we get to teach two TRC lessons every Saturday which will be really fun! I did my first day of solo Espanol where I am only allowed to speak Spanish. 

I did pretty well but sometimes I would keep accidently speaking english! Other than that my two investigators now have baptism dates in a few weeks and the lessons are going really well! Im having a lot of fun in the MTC and like it a lot! One fun thing is every week we get 120 pesos to spend at the store. I love going and trying all of the mexican candy it is so good!

Weekly Update

HOLA EVERYBODY!

This week has been really good and I have really enjoyed my time here! This week I had to give a talk on sunday in sacrament meeting. They will randomly call up four people to give a talk in spanish after the sacrament. I think the talk went pretty well, I told the whole branch that Alma the younger was able to repent of his fishes, but other then that it was good haha. On Sunday my companion and I got called as the new sister training leaders. We have a new district coming in today and we had to plan an activity and do some things for them.

We do A LOT of teaching! all in spanish it is crazy but fun. This week we are giving seven twenty minute Spanish lessons to our teachers, and on Sunday a member from Mexico city is going take a lesson from us! My parents are amazing and sent me a box of krispy kreme donuts this week, it was pretty awesome!

This week morning teacher hermano Salvador had me teach the district a forty minute lesson in Spanish about the Book of Mormon. It was kind of difficult but I think that it is helping my Spanish a lot!

 Pday was so awesome this week. we got to take a trip to the Mexico city temple. The drive was about forty minutes long so we got to see a lot of the city. The temple was beautiful we got a tour of it from the sister missionaries and watched a film. It had a pretty big and beautiful visitor center! it was really pretty!

My First Week in the CCM

Hola! my first week at the CCM was really good! my companion is Hermana J and she is really sweet. Every day we have classes from 7 in the morning to 9:30 at night! its crazy. WE have a lot of different classes all day, language, doctrine fundamentals, and online Spanish games, but all of the classes are in Spanish. We speak and hear Spanish almost all day, but it is helping me learn a lot. On our second day here we had to teach a 30 min lesson in Spanish to a practicing investigator, David. It was really crazy and fun to have to have a full conversation in Spanish for 30 min. David talks pretty fast and says a lot but i am starting to understand more. We have  to teach David a lesson almost everyday, and we have committed him to baptism! The campus here is amazing! it is really big and gorgeous. There are a ton of palm trees here and they are full of bright lime green parakeets, it is pretty cute. I live in a pink casa. There are four hermanas in my room, and five rooms in the casa. they are pretty nice I  like them a lot. Every night we get to sleep to the sounds of pipe bombs, gun shots, and sirens. Its crazy and happens multiple times every night! I haven't got to see a lot of Mexico City but the drive in was really cool. The city is really colorful and lively, its also giant! The food here is pretty good, a lot of good Mexican dishes and desserts, but Tuesday is always Costco pizza night! My district is really cool! we have a lot of fun and two other elders are going to my mission with me. Love You Guys!
